September 18 – 19, 2024

AIMS Community College, Greeley, CO

The Attainment Network’s third annual conference on Sept. 18 and 19, 2024, will convene K-12, postsecondary education,  industry, government, and philanthropy to share ideas, innovations, and best practices for transforming education-to-workforce systems.

Engaging workshops, powerful speakers and hands on implementation strategies will deliver best and promising practices in the development of high-quality career pathways; space to name and address problems of practice collaboratively; and momentum to build education-to-workforce systems that support every learner in achieving career success and economic mobility.

The Career-Connected L/Earning Conference is also an opportunity for teams to dedicate time to their own collaborative work.  Register 10 attendees or more for the conference before June 1, submit a request, and we will dedicate time and space in the venue for your working session. Cross-sector teams that include K-12, postsecondary, and employer partners are highly encouraged. Include a note in your request if you would like to explore having support from The Attainment Network in facilitating your session, or if you would like to request a self-facilitation guide developed to drive work forward around conference themes.  This offer will be provided on a first come first served basis. There is no additional cost, however a minimum of 10 conference registrants are required for dedicated space.

Advancing local, regional, and statewide work, the Career-Connected L/Earning Conference sells out every year. Registration costs $350.  Scholarships are available on request.

In addition to the conference, White Knuckle Futures will lead an afternoon workshop on Sept. 19 on being Future-Ready: Building Agile Strategies for Career-Connected Pathways.

Ever wonder how things like AI, climate change, political division, immigration, and cybersecurity will impact the future of the education-to workforce ecosystem? In this workshop, teams will explore threats and opportunities of possible futures while developing actionable short and long-term strategies to steer towards a future they want to see. Workshop participants will learn the skills to anticipate change, craft vision-centered strategies, and make decisions that shape a better tomorrow.

Our beliefs about the future drive the decisions we make every day. Learn how to make these decisions in a more informed and empowered way as we explore possible futures of the education-to-workforce ecosystem. Teams will work together to map the specific strategies and actions they can take to support a desired future. This workshop will leave participants empowered to look at their work holistically and from multiple perspectives, as well as demonstrating ways they can have agency in shaping the future, today.

Cost of the Strategic Foresight Workshop is $1,500 for teams of up to five people. The workshop is appropriate for organizational teams or cross-sector teams. Lunch will be provided.

This conference is more than just a gathering — it’s a dynamic forum for exploring innovative and inclusive strategies for meeting our evolving workforce needs while supporting success for all learners and earners.

What to Expect?

  • Engaging discussions on best and promising practices to bolster learner and earner success.
  • Collaborative problem-solving sessions to address problems of practice within education-to-workforce systems.
  • Driving momentum around pathways as a vital tool for building education-to-workforce systems that support every learner.

To address these goals in an inclusive and meaningful way, The Attainment Network is requesting proposals for the 2024 conference that align to one or more of the following strands:

  1. Partnership and Collaboration
  2. Education and Skills Alignment
  3. L/Earner Supports
  4. Data and Technology
  5. Policy and Communication

We encourage cross-institutional and cross-sector presentations or workshops that champion learner voices, highlight industry-alignment, and focus on the importance of partnership to advance the discovery, design, and implementation of career pathways work.

Presentations are 50 minutes in length, and presenters must be available to join us in person. Presenters must register for the conference and cover their expenses. Limited scholarships are available.
