CALL FOR PROPOSALS AT THE CAREER-Connected L/Earning Conference ON SEPT. 18-19, 2024

The Attainment Network’s third annual Career-Connected L/Earning Conference will be Sept. 18-19 at the stunning new AIMS Community College Welcome Center in Greeley, Colorado.

The conference promises to ignite conversations and foster collaboration among industry, K-12, and higher education professionals who are shaping the future of education-to-workforce systems. This conference is more than just a gathering — it’s a dynamic forum for exploring innovative and inclusive strategies for meeting our evolving workforce needs while supporting success for all learners and earners.

What to Expect?

  • Engaging discussions on best and promising practices to bolster learner and earner success.
  • Collaborative problem-solving sessions to address problems of practice within education-to-workforce systems.
  • Driving momentum around pathways as a vital tool for building education-to-workforce systems that support every learner.

To address these goals in an inclusive and meaningful way, The Attainment Network is requesting proposals for the 2024 conference that align to one or more of the following strands:

  1. Partnership and Collaboration
  2. Education and Skills Alignment
  3. L/Earner Supports
  4. Data and Technology
  5. Policy and Communication

We encourage cross-institutional and cross-sector presentations or workshops that champion learner voices, highlight industry-alignment, and focus on the importance of partnership to advance the discovery, design, and implementation of career pathways work.

Presentations are 50 minutes in length, and presenters must be available to join us in person. Presenters must register for the conference and cover their expenses. Limited scholarships are available.

Priority Deadline for Presentation Proposals is April 19, with a Final Submission Deadline of May 3.

This week, The Attainment Network celebrates Rana Tarkenton as she steps into the role of Chief Executive Officer. After serving as our Chief Operating Officer for the last five years, Rana brings both continuity and a clear vision for strengthening partnerships and designing education-to-career systems that meet the needs of today’s workforce and increase opportunities for learners. "As I step into the role of CEO at The Attainment Network, I feel honored and deeply grateful for the privilege of serving this team, our partners, and our communities," said Tarkenton. "These are challenging times for many in education and workforce development. Economic shifts, policy changes, and evolving career pathways require us to double down on collaboration and think creatively about how to support learners and earners while meeting the needs of employers. Even in uncertainty, one thing remains clear: partnership and intentional collaboration are required to create lasting opportunities." Under Rana’s leadership, The Attainment Network will continue working alongside partners to: ✅ Amplify learner and earner voices through meaningful engagement ✅ Foster meaningful collaboration among education, workforce, community leaders, and state-level policymakers ✅ Advance best practices and policies that break down barriers and expand access to meaningful careers “By working together, we are driving lasting change that ensures every learner—regardless of background—can step confidently into a high-value career,” Tarkenton emphasized. Later this month, we will celebrate the incredible impact our departing CEO has had on this organization. Today, we celebrate Rana, and we invite our partners and community members to connect with Rana and join us in this important work.
